The 2003 Summer session team: Mark Lister, Ann Lister, Pat Conahan (bartender), Steve Degen, Gregg Houghton, Irene Pfefferman, Bernie Robertson, Theresa Robertson, and Randy Wyrick. Blair Burgess is missing.

Erik Joyce

Erik has been shooting pool since he was 14 years old and has been in the APA since 2000. He has lots of bar room tournament experience in both 8 and 9 ball. When not playing with 105 Proof, he can usually be found shooting on his brother Kevin's Frederick team.

He is the captain of the 105 Proof team for the 2004 Fall Session.

Goals: Win more games than beers drunk.

Favorite Players: Steve Mizerak, Alison Fisher

Favorite Place to Shoot: Mark's basement

Memorable Moments: 3 Break and Runs in Baltimore and 1 in Las Vegas in 2000

Randy Wyrick

Randy began shooting with the Same Guys in the summer of 2002. He has been playing pool his whole life and shot in many different leagues. He is the captain of the Thursday night team and has recruited his daughter to play also.

Goals: Become a skill level 7.

Favorite Type of Shot: Bank

Favorite Place to Shoot: Green Room

Favorite Pro: Steve Mizerak

Memorable Shot: Kick shot off 2 rails to pocket the 8 ball and win a match against a 6.

Steve Degen

Steve has been a member of either 105 Proof or Same Guy since early 2000. His rookie season (2000) ended at the National Amateur Championships in Las Vegas and he has been playing and coaching continuously since then.

Steve was captain of the Same Guys team that almost made it back to Vegas. He was at the helm when we participated in the finals in the summer of 2004.

Goals: To win all year long and return to Las Vegas.

Favorite Ball: The white one.

Favorite Player: Minnesota Fats

Favorite Pool Movie: The Natural

Ann Lister

After shooting for a few years, Ann has finally gotten serious. She now understands most of the pool lingo and only occasionally asks for clarification - a fundamental improvement. She has also been bitten by the pool bug. After losing in the 2004 finals and watching her opponents win the trip to Las Vegas, she has redidcated herself to getting better. Hence the new goal #3

Goals: 1) To be able to figure out why I shoot well one day and terribly the next and 2) To have fun. and 3) Vegas Baby!

Mark Lister

Mark has been a member of both 105 Proof and Same Guy since 2000. His rookie season also ended up at the National Amateur Championships in Las Vegas and since then has had a goal of turning pro!

Goals: To finish in 1st place again. Can we do it twice??

Favorite Ball: The 5.

Favorite Place to Shoot: Las Vegas

Rob Choe

Rob started shooting pool in Ohio in 1998 and is playing with us again in 2004. He enjoys shooting under pressure and likes to be the last man up to pull out the win.

Goals: Finish in first place and go to Baltimore.

Favorite Type of Shot: Draw

Favorite Place to Shoot: Anywhere with a level table.

Favorite Pro: Alison Fischer

Memorable Coach: One game with an especially ugly leave on the 8, Randy coached him to try a severe cut shot instead of a bank and he actually executed it perfectly.

Ken Honicker

Kenny is an originating member of the 105 Proof Team and has returned to serve as captain for the Spring 2004 session. He is a master stategist and has proven time and again that selecting the right line up can help the team win.

Goals: Stay a 4 and have the team take him back to Las Vegas

Favorite Players: Jenette Lee

Favorite Place to Shoot: Still enjoying Mark and Ann's basement and the Bushmills

Memorable Moments: Beating a 6 in the sudden death game in Baltimore on the run to Las Vegas in 2000. He has barely stopped shaking from that experience.

Gregg Houghton

Gregg joined the team in the summer of 2003 and has been shooting ever since. He really enjoys winning in Baltimore and hopes to return again at the end of this season.

Favorite Player: Ralph Greenleaf

Memorable Moment: A break and run game where he made the last ball even after Randy said that it would not go by the opponents ball, but did.

Memorable Coach: He's only had 1 and he can't remember it.

Patrick Kennedy

Patrick joined the team in the Spring of 2004 after shooting for about 15 years. He is returning for the fall 2004 session with the goal of having lots of fun

Favorite Player: Jeanette Lee

Memorable Moment: When he lived in Italy, he would often shoot against a guy who always doubled down and lost. This activity subsidized his rent for 4 months!

Favorite Ball: golf

Favorite Place to Shoot: Champions

Helen Love

After shooting pool for 2 years, Helen joined 105 Proof in the Fall of 2004. She began her pool career in the Baltimore area and advanced to the regional tournament in her first year of play

She prefers to shoot on 8 foot tables but is making a good adjustment to the big game.

Goals: Meet nice people and have fun

Favorite Ball: 8 because it's the winner.

Favorite Player: Mike Massey

Best Pool Memory: The night she won her "Almost Break & Run patch". She missed a B&R by only 1 ball but got the patch anyway.
